Cardio kickboxing is a group fitness class that combines martial arts techniques with fast-paced cardio. This high-energy workout challenges the beginner and elite athlete alike. Jujutsu, also known as jiu-jitsu and ju-jitsu, is a family of Japanese martial arts and a system of close combat that can be used in a defensive or offensive manner.
Children’s MMA. This class is designed for kids 5-8 years old. Focused on building character, confidence, and self-defense through the use of all-around martial arts and cardio fitness.
These classes are designed for an older age group of children and tweens to: build confidence, character, control, and teach self-defense through the use of martial arts.
BJJ Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
BJJ (Brazilian jiu-jitsu) is a martial art based on grappling and submission holds. It focuses on the skill of taking an opponent to the ground, controlling one’s opponent, gaining a dominant position, and using a number of techniques to force them into submission via joint locks or chokeholds.
Competition classes (both for kids and adults) are designed to train the student to perform in competitions, which is predominantly ground-based martial art, using the principles of leverage, angles, pressure, and timing, as well as knowledge of the human anatomy, in order to achieve a non-violent submission of one’s opponent.
